Avoiding Medical Errors with Proper Equipment Safety is a practical course designed specifically for licensed massage therapists and spa professionals working in day spas, med spas, and wellness centers who want to elevate safety standards and reduce preventable incidents. This class focuses on how improper use, inadequate maintenance, or lack of staff training on equipment, such as treatment tables, hydrotherapy tubs, hot towel cabinets, steamers, saunas, and specialty devices, can contribute to client injury, infection risk, burns, or regulatory violations. Participants will review specific safety protocols, inspection and maintenance procedures, sanitation standards, contraindication awareness, and clear documentation practices that support compliance and protect the business. Emphasis is placed on creating a culture of safety within the massage environment, strengthening team communication, and implementing proactive systems that safeguard both guests and practitioners while upholding professional and regulatory standards.
