The owner of Blondtourage Studio, Kathryn Campbell, or “Kat” as she is known to her
friends, began her career with Aveda, but almost immediately sought to expand her
repertoire by going to work with Toni & Guy. Not one to limit her skills, Kat went on to
spend the next 7 years training her fellow stylist on Paul Mitchell techniques before
joining the Perlacolor Educational Team as our resident Blonding Expert. Kathryn
specializes in achieving the most extreme blondes and daring vivids, while showcasing
her cutting skills with disconnection and texture. You can find her bohemian
styles/updos showcased on the pages of magazines and in training videos used within
the industry itself. When it comes to hair, Kathryn likes to tell her students, “Hustle and
heart set you apart.”

Luminae Haircare is officially declaring 2023 “The Year of White-Blonde hair”. Admit it, while stylist still get their everyday requests to “cover my grey” and “give me beachy-waves”, the demand for a hue so pale that it might be located somewhere between “My Grandmother was Swedish” and “I want to be mistaken for Albino' on the color wheel”. Let’s face it, your clients don’t want “multiple sessions… they want white-blond and they want it “white now”! With the popularity of Instagram, high-definition photography, and selfies, there has been an increased demand for balayage, ombré, fantasy colors, and Platinum Grey… making “extreme lightening” one of the largest income-generating services offered in most salons. Unfortunately, traditional lighteners and blonding techniques are unable to meet the challenge of lifting darker-haired clients to the lightest blondes necessary for today’s most popular looks.
Co-taught by Color Specialist and Blonding Expert Kathryn Saldivar and the Founder of Luminae Haircare Jeremiah R. Sammons (@nowornever911), this class will teach students the difference between the caramels obtainable through balayage and the ultra-blondes achievable with our fast, fun, and profitable Luminae Foilyage techniques.
