Tippi Shorter’s hairstyles have topped the shoulders of many icons including Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Jennifer Hudson. Not only has her work graced the covers and editorial pages of trendsetting magazines like Italian Vogue, Vanity Fair and Essence, she is also regularly quoted in beauty articles where she showcases her expert hair knowledge in magazines like Elle, Allure and In Style. Her strength as a trailblazer is undeniable as she became the first African- American beauty professional spokesperson for Pantene and the first Global Artistic Director for Textured Hair for Aveda. She is currently the Artistic Director for Mizani and Color Specialist for Loreal Professionel.
In her 20+ year career, the common thread has been constantly elevating the education for Texture and Beauty Inclusion. Because of this passion, she co-founded The Texpert Collective which offers tools and classes to help stylist excel in Texture and co-founded the Global Artistry Council creates high level educational events specific to elevating Texture education. Tippi has also been included in the Loreal Pro ALLYance with a mission to help beauty students prepare for the real world.
