Hair Wizards Barbershop
Dominic Muniz, a native of Philadelphia, discovered his passion for barbering at the age of fourteen, eventually shaping it into a lifelong career. His dedication led him to obtain his barbering license, and at the age of 20, where he made a committed leap into the industry. In 2011, he opened his first 3-chair barber shop, which quickly outgrew its space by 2013. Following this, he launched Hair Wizards Barbershop as a tribute to his late mother, Rosalina Mendez, who established Hair Wizards in 1988. Dominic furthered his expertise by obtaining his teacher's license in 2015 and joining the PA State Board in 2017, all while expanding his business to 3 Hair Wizards locations.
A sought-after educator, Dominic holds a teacher's license and serves as 1st Vice Chair for The National Barber Boards of America (NABBA). He's been recognized for his impact, including being named one of the top 100 most influential Latinos in Philadelphia in 2018 and Entrepreneur of the Year in 2024 at the CT Barber Expo. As a national educator for Sensory Safe Solutions, he champions inclusivity and accessibility.
